Helicopter crash in Missouri leaves 3 state parks employees injured

Three Missouri state parks team members and a private pilot were rescued Thursday, Jan. 29, after their helicopter crashed into the Meramec River about an hour outside of St. Louis.

The team was conducting an aerial ecological survey of Meramec State Park when the aircraft possibly struck a power line, causing it to go down, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources said in a news release.
