WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis has galvanized protests and demonstrations across the country.
One protest took the form of a strike on Friday, with over a dozen businesses in Wichita closing up shop for the day, joining what organizers called a “National Shutdown.” Many of them announced their closures on social media mostly positive, but some negative, responses.
KSN reached out to a few of those businesses. The universal complaint was around Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s increasing presence across the country.
