WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A Washington, D.C. man will spend the next 26 years in prison after he fatally shot another man in a Southeast shopping plaza, the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia announced Friday.
On Friday, a D.C. judge sentenced Antoine Turner, 32, to 312 months (26 years) in prison, followed by five months of supervised release, for the November 2020 murder of Demeitri Anderson.
According to the government’s evidence, at about 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 29, 2020, Turner parked a red Nissan Versa in the 4500 block of B Street SE before walking around the block and behind the Benco Shopping Center on Benning Road.
