Inland Northwest Invitational
- The Podium | Spokane, Wash.
MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal Track and Field is set to continue its indoor campaign as the team travels back to Spokane, Wash., for the Inland Northwest Invitational. Events are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. with Idaho competing in the women’s weight throw and men’s shot put.
The Vandals are coming off a strong home meet that saw multiple athletes push towards school records. Cami Cvitkovich is one to watch after a career high a week ago. Not only is she close to topping the Idaho record books, but the sophomore is coming into this weekend’s meet with a new personal best of 1.75, ranking second among Big Sky high jumpers. The women will also have five athletes in the long jump, including Jada Miller and Mara Fuerniss, who each set new PRs last weekend and find their names within the top eight in the Big Sky.
Idaho’s throws team will have multiple competitors in both the shot put and weight throw. The freshman and senior duo of Kathryn Burnette and Beatriz Marciano look to continue to improve in both events, with Marciano placed in the Big Sky top 10 in both, while junior Gioele Tengattini will be in the men’s shot put following his huge 17.30 meter throw last meet…
