Portland man who shot paint at ICE cameras and set fire pleads guilty

A 20-year-old man pleaded guilty Thursday to destruction of government property for damaging several surveillance cameras outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Portland last summer.

Alistair Macfarlane Sidener of Portland also set debris on fire outside the building on June 12, according to federal prosecutors.

Sidener shot paint from a water gun at several cameras mounted to the ICE building, struck cameras with a long metal pole and then lit the debris on fire beside a metal gate on the property, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office…
