BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A house wine that was only previously available at Frank Stitt’s various restaurants across Birmingham is now available to the public.
This week, Finch Fine Wines on Hwy. 280 announced that it would now be selling “Frank’s Pinot Noir,” a wine from Clendenen Family Vintners out of Santa Maria Valley outside of Santa Barbara, California. For years, “Frank’s Pinot Noir” was only sold at Highlands Bar & Grill, Chez Fon Fon and Bottega.
“This is a powerful Pinot, not by density, but by beautifully stated fruit within a firm, layered structure,” the wine retailer stated in a description of the wine. “A bouquet of cranberry, plum, mint, rose petal, dried herbs, and spice is joined on the palate with notes of dark cherry, clove, red licorice, black tea and cedar. A distinctive, contemplative Pinot.”…
