Midstate radio station to be sold to New York ministry

MILLERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A local radio station is being sold to a religious broadcaster from New York.

According to documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission, Millersburg-based 98.9 WQLV-FM is being sold to Family Life Ministries, of Bath, New York.

An asset purchase agreement between Richard L. Cooper, owner of WQLV, and Family Life was signed Nov. 13 pending the transfer of the station’s license to Family Life. The ministry is buying the station for $300,000.

The license transfer was granted Monday and a “notification of consummation” was filed Friday…
