(FOX40.COM) — More than 500 local Amazon workers will soon be out of a job as the multinational tech company closes its Fresh and Go stores.
Amazon announced earlier this week that it would close all of its Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go stores nationwide to focus on Whole Foods Markets, which the company owns.
The company will close three locations in the Sacramento area: in Roseville, Citrus Heights and Elk Grove. According to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARN) filed Wednesday, Amazon will lay off 516 workers across the trio of stores…
