There’s one original I-84 overpass left in Ada County. Plan to replace it move forward

New design plans to replace the last original I-84 overpass in Ada County are in their final stages.

As BoiseDev reported, replacing the Five Mile Rd. Overpass has been a topic of discussion for the Ada County Highway District since 2018.

Previously, ACHD said the overpass replacement was scheduled for 2028. Now, the highway district’s website says 2030. The two-lane bridge was built in 1966. It has no designated space for cyclists or pedestrians, and drivers must navigate a curve when getting on and off the bridge…
