DENVER (KDVR) — The Commerce City Police Department said it deployed a tire deflation device to stop a driver who tried to get away after an attempted traffic stop overnight Friday.
CCPD said in a Facebook post on Saturday that the “reckless driver,” attempted to elude patrol officers by driving at dangerous speeds and running red lights.

Police said that, a short time later, an officer located the suspect vehicle approaching 96th and Highway 2 and made the decision to deploy stop sticks, which the vehicle then ran over.
Running over the stop sticks rendered the suspect vehicle inoperable “almost immediately,” according to CCPD, which said the driver, who has not been identified, was taken into custody for felony eluding and other traffic charges…
