Baby javelina rescued after being found wandering on Interstate 10 in the West Valley

GOODYEAR, Ariz. — A baby javelina was rescued from Interstate 10 near Estrella Parkway on Tuesday, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Deputies from DPS and members of the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Incident Response Team found the little traveler on the main line. They assisted the javelina over the wall to a safer spot to explore.

DPS advises the public to call with anything they see that may pose a danger to those on the road, such as debris, reckless driving and wandering javelinas…
