CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Law enforcement officials are urging people to stay off the roads Saturday night as conditions deteriorate.
Snow began moving into the Lowcountry during the afternoon and will continue early Sunday morning. The snow has created some hazardous roads.

“It is critical that residents stay off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary,” said the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office. “Unnecessary travel puts your life at risk and endangers the lives of our deputies and other first responders who may be called to assist.”
The overpasses at Berlin G. Myers Parkway at East Richardson and East Carolina Avenues were closed Saturday evening because of icing. Charleston police also closed the Stono Bridge, and the Limehouse Bridge was closed temporarily…
