CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Much of the Lowcountry woke up Sunday to a rare sight: snow on the ground and bitterly cold temperatures.
The National Weather Service in Charleston reported some of the morning’s lowest wind chills at five degrees in both Charleston and Fort Sumter, and six degrees at Charleston International Airport.
Forecasters also confirmed that 0.7 inches of snow fell at the airport on Saturday, breaking the previous daily snowfall record of 0.6 inches set in 1977…
