GRAND RAPIDS, MI — It was a frigid afternoon as drag performers braved the arctic cold, taking over downtown for Winter’s a DRAG! at World of Winter.
Performers strutted down the elevated runway, which was set between La Grande Vitesse sculpture by Alexander Calder and “Emergence,” a light-based World of Winter art installation by This is Loop.
As part of the World of Winter festival, the show, put on by MI Drag Brunch on Saturday, Jan. 31, featured several performers including a special guest appearance by Willow Pill and Jaida Essence Hall.
Pill, 31, rose to stardom after winning the 14th season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2022, becoming the first transgender woman to win.
Hall, 37, became famous after winning the 12th season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2020.
