Snow is done falling, but expect it to stick around in the Triad

(WGHP) — The snow may have stopped falling but there’s plenty of it on the ground across the Piedmont Triad this morning.

Snowfall totals range from 5″ to 16″ depending on your location. Hazardous travel is expected throughout the remainder of the weekend due to snow covered roads. Please avoid unnecessary travel and stay home.

Waking up this morning, temperatures are frigid in the 10s and with wind gusts of 20-30 mph. With the wind factored in, our feels-like temperatures are near zero and even below zero for some. For that reason, an extreme cold warning is in effect until 10 AM due to wind chills in the negatives…
