WESTPHALIA, Mich. (WILX) – As Michigan lawmakers send cellphone restriction bills to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s desk, one Mid-Michigan school district has already found its solution to the cellphone battle.
Pewamo-Westphalia Schools have transformed their lunchtime experience by adding interactive games and activities, creating a space where middle and high school students choose play over phones.
“We would just sit at the tables and talk; no one was really interactive, so it’s a lot better now,” said Abram Smith, an eighth-grader.
