DA: Lancaster County man gets life sentences for killing family after argument over dinner

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man who shot three people, killing two, in a Lancaster County home in October after an argument over dinner will spend the rest of his life in prison, the district attorney’s office announced.

Santiago Payano-Sanchez, 64, was sentenced to spend two life sentences plus 20 to 40 years in state prison after pleading guilty Friday in front of Judge Jeffrey Conrad, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said. Payano-Sanchez must also pay more than $11,000 in restitution.

Payano-Sanchez pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal homicide and one count each of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and possession of an instrument of crime, according to prosecutors…
