Last week, an Ascension Parish Jury found 29-year-old Tyrell Hilliard of 835 Kitty St. Baton Rouge, LA guilty of Possession of Methamphetamine. Hilliard was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Kenneth Dupaty and Philip Prescott. Presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge John Smth.
On March 27, 2025, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Deputies came into contact with Tyrell Hilliard who had an outstanding warrant for Non-Support. Upon confirming that Hilliard had an outstanding warrant, Hilliard was placed into handcuffs. During a search of Hilliards’ person, deputies located a quantity of methamphetamine. Hilliard admitted to consuming some of the narcotics which were on his person. Prior to transporting Hilliard for booking, he was cleared by Gonzales EMS and refused treatment. Hilliard was then transported to the Ascension Parish Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, deputies located a plastic baggy containing a large quantity of methamphetamine in a carry bag which Hilliard was carrying at the time of his arrest.
