About 76,000 pounds of potatoes were left scattered across the 1-15 freeway when two trucks collided north of Las Vegas in the early morning hours of Friday, Jan. 30.
Two semi tractor-trailer trucks and a passenger car reportedly collided at 5:30 a.m., local outlet KLAS reports, citing Nevada State Police. There were no fatalities, although one person was brought to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, NSP spokesperson Shawn Haggstrom told KLAS and KSNV.
Amid the collision, one of the tractor-trailers spilled roughly 76,000 pounds of potatoes onto the freeway, located south of Mesquite, Nev., located nearly 100 miles north of Las Vegas. A cleanup crew later arrived to remove the vegetables from the road, per the outlet…
