Former chief financial officer accused of embezzling over $4M from Albany-based company

ALBANY — A 61-year-old Cohoes man has been charged after allegedly operating a multi-million dollar embezzlement scheme over the course of four years while employed at an Albany-based company.

Kevin J. Stevens, of Cohoes, was arrested by State Police on Jan. 21 and is accused of operating an embezzlement scheme between Sept. 1, 2019, and Feb. 4, 2025, while serving as chief financial officer at A.E. Rosen Electrical Co., Inc., according to a news release from State Police. The scheme allegedly cost the company over $4 million, according to State Police.

A.E. Rosen Electrical Co., Inc., provides commercial, industrial, maintenance and large-scale residential electrical construction across upstate New York and employs more than 100 people, according to its website. The business was started by Ed Rosen in 1977…
