At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, Miltimore Hall, a residence hall on the north side of campus housing over 400 students, experienced a fire alarm due to excess carbon monoxide levels detected within the building. The alarm was caused by adverse conditions amid Winter Storm Gianna. Current snow accumulation is between seven and nine inches.
Fire alarms went off in the building at some time between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m., and some residents were initially confused about what the cause could be.
