Fayetteville and Sandhills Region Closures and Delays for Winter Weather

Patience paid off for snow lovers in our area, as Sunday morning showed off several inches of it throughout the region.

The downside to snow like this here, is that there are inevitably going to be several closures and delays for schools, businesses and more. We’ll keep this page updated throughout the day as additional information comes in.

School Systems

Cumberland County Schools – Asynchronous Remote Monday

Due to inclement weather, Cumberland County Schools will operate on an asynchronous remote learning day on Monday, Feb. 2. School buildings and district offices will be closed, with employees working remotely. All after-school activities and Prime Time are canceled. Elementary and middle school students will have five days to complete assignments. High school students will have three days.

Public Schools of Robeson County – Closed Monday

All PSRC schools and facilities will be closed on Monday, February 2, 2026, due to inclement weather conditions. Stay tuned to official district social media channels and our website for updates on operations for Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Fort Bragg DoDEA Schools – Closed Monday

Clinton City Schools – Closed Monday

Due to hazardous road conditions caused by recent wintry weather, Clinton City Schools will be closed for students and staff February 2, 2026.

Columbus County Schools – Remote Monday

Columbus County Schools will be in remote instruction on Monday, February 2, 2026, due to the approaching winter storm. Students should check Google Classroom for assignments and contact their teachers if they have any questions. We will continue to monitor conditions and make a decision regarding Tuesday as conditions develop.
