Flying out of local airports will continue to be a challenge for Lowcountry residents Sunday morning as they wake up to a blanket of snow and record-low temperatures.
The majority of flights departing the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport were cancelled between the earliest flight out at 6 a.m. and around 10:20 a.m., according to the airport’s website.
But starting around 11 a.m., the majority of flights appeared to be scheduled for normal departure, other than those heading to the Queen City, where a “solid 11 inches of snow” fell at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Saturday…
