Allentown, Pa. — Lehigh County Authority (LCA) is asking customers to take immediate steps to conserve water and remain alert for signs of potential leaks as system demand remains elevated across the Allentown service area.
Over the past several days, water demand has increased beyond typical seasonal levels. While LCA crews are actively working to identify and repair leaks throughout the system, continued high demand is limiting the ability to fully restore reservoir levels. Currently, the system remains operational, but proactive conservation is critical to maintaining reliable service.
Field crews have already made repairs at known leak locations and additional teams are continuing system wide inspections. While the situation is not currently an emergency, it has the potential to escalate without public cooperation…
