CLEVELAND — Two people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries after a small plane crashed in a wooded area in Brimfield Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
According to a release from the state patrol, a two-seat Piper Cub aircraft “experienced an apparent loss of power” and went down at 2:34 p.m. near 3222 Ranfield Road, west of State Route 44. The Brimfield Fire Department had asked in a previous social media post for residents to stay clear of Ranfield Road in the area between Old Forge Road and Saxe Road.
Officials say two people were on board when the plane crashed. The pilot has been identified by the OSHP as 47-year-old Bryan Jorgensen of Wadsworth. His 12-year-old daughter was also on board. The flight had originated from Wadsworth Airport and the plane was headed back there at the time of the incident…
