Baltimore police are in the midst of investigating a triple shooting in Curtis Bay, which has left a teenager and two others seriously wounded. According to WBALTV, the shooting occurred yesterday morning, around 11 a.m., at the 3900 block of Fairhaven Avenue. The victims, including a 15-year-old boy, were discovered inside a Liberty Bay Apartment and promptly received medical attention from officers employing a chest shield and a tourniquet.
Both injured parties, the teen and a 41-year-old man, were quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment. A 32-year-old man also sought medical care for a gunshot wound at an area hospital shortly thereafter. While it remains unclear whether his injuries are related to the same incident, detectives are investigating the connection between these cases. According to the police, all three victims are currently in a critical but stable condition in the hospital.
In a raw depiction of the community’s desensitization to violence, a resident shared their experiences with WBALTV, “It’s a normal thing, so when we see it, we just walk right past it. Get the news later on and just make sure it’s not our people. At the beginning, like when you first move out here and you see it, you’ll start wondering what’s going on but after a while you just walk right past it like it’s a dead cat on the street. (It’s) definitely sad, the mind plays different games on you so once you get used to something like that, you just got to hope and pray that it ain’t you the next day.”…
