Ohio’s winter weather has broken records for its intensity this year, but it will be over soon, at least according to Buckeye Chuck.
The state’s official groundhog weather forecaster, dubbed Buckeye Chuck, did not see his shadow on Monday, Feb. 2, which traditionally means an early spring is on its way.
While not quite as famous as Pennsylvania’s Punxsutawney Phil groundhog, Buckeye Chuck is actually more accurate, according to a study from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
