One person is dead, while two other people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening on Route 60 in the Town of Gerry. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says a northbound vehicle driven by a 66-year-old woman was traveling in the southbound lane at about 6:15 PM, when it collided head-on with a southbound vehicle near Cassadaga Valley Central School. The woman who was driving the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the other vehicle — a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man — were taken to area hospitals.
