Data center developers are circling a 125-acre property in the village of Sparta, where officials wanted rules in place before any formal proposal arrives.
Officials in the northern Kent County community acted in late 2025 to define data centers within its industrial zoning, a proactive move as developers eye the former Sparta Rodeo Grounds for a potential project.
