Immigrant, worker rights group CASA rebrands as We Are CASA

An immigrant and workers’ rights organization with a decades-long history in central Pennsylvania has unveiled a refreshed name and identity: We Are CASA.

The organization, formerly known simply as CASA, announced the change as a reflection of its growth into a national powerhouse and its focus on collective empowerment. We Are CASA has more than 189,000 lifetime members across 46 states and Puerto Rico, including more than 5,000 in Pennsylvania.

“For us, this is about conveying that we’re people-centered, that we’re growing, and that we’re bringing new people into the movement,” said Shamaine Daniels, Pennsylvania Director of We Are CASA. “This is really all about community power.”…
