A woman is fighting for her life after a shooting on Aden Street rocked a Frayser block Saturday, drawing a heavy police and medical response to the quiet residential stretch.
Officers with the Memphis Police Department were called to the 3100 block of Aden Street, where they found a woman suffering from serious gunshot wounds. Medics rushed her to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, authorities said. Police kept the area taped off into the evening while investigators searched for evidence and went door to door looking for anyone who might have seen or heard what happened.
The department told FOX13 Memphis that officers found the victim on the 3100 block and that the suspected shooter took off in a silver vehicle. Police have not yet released a detailed description of the suspect or a possible motive. Detectives say the case remains very much active as they review evidence and continue interviewing witnesses.
