Following the recent winter storm, students are trudging through snow piles and sliding on ice covered sidewalks as they make their way around Oakland.
Samantha Andrews, a junior neuroscience major, said she fell on the sidewalk outside of her house in South Oakland and suffered a concussion.
“Everything was covered in a thin layer of ice, and it kind of looked like snow,” Andrews said. “I didn’t realize that it was all actually just black ice under there.”…
