Suspects hurl beer cans out window during Southern California pursuit, sheriff says

Three young men in San Bernardino County were arrested after an alleged drunken high-speed pursuit where two passengers in vehicle hurled beer cans at deputies pursuing them.

In a news release, investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said the incident began around 2:15 a.m. Feb. 1 near the intersection of Sand Canyon Road and Campus Drive, outside the Crafton Hills College campus in Yucaipa.

SBSD Deputy Victor Chavez reported witnessing the driver of a white 2010 Infiniti G37 doing “donuts” at the intersection and attempted an enforcement stop with lights and sirens for reckless driving.

“The Infiniti sped away from Deputy Chavez while the passengers threw beer cans out the windows,” the release stated…
