MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Well what a day! Lots of snow across the area this evening. What melting that occurred today will refreeze tonight. We will see temperatures fall into the single digits across the Pee Dee and border. The Grand strand will see temperatures between 10-12 degrees. An extreme cold weather warning continues overnight into Monday morning, as well as a winter weather advisory for hazardous travel conditions.
Monday we will see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will warm into the mid 30s. Again whatever melting that does occur will refreeze Monday night. So that Tuesday morning commute could be slick.
A system moves into the area Wednesday. It looks like some rain showers will be possible on Wednesday. Cold air lingering behind may produce a few isolated snow showers across the Pee Dee, border belt, and maybe even across the Grand Strand. Not much of an issue on impacts…
