Library offers art and tasting progams

CANAL FULTON – The Canal Fulton Public Library, 154 Market St. NE, will offer the following activities:

  • String Art Heart will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 3. All supplies are included. Registration is required; call 330-854-4148.
  • Friends Count Needlecraft Club will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21. All levels of knitters, crocheters and other needlecrafters can drop by to socialize and work on their projects. No registration is needed.
  • Chocolate Tasting will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 7: Adults can sample a variety of chocolate from area chocolatiers. Registration is required in advance; call the library at 330-854-4148 (option 3) or stop by the Information Desk.
  • Cheese Tasting, The Best of Grandpa’s Cheese Barn will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 9. Learn about and sample some cheese. Registration is required; call 330-854-4148. Space is limited.

School adds sixth grade

CANTON – Weaver Child Development Center, a preschool and primary school at 515 48th St. NW, will add sixth grade for the 2026-27 school year.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside our families and provide a seamless transition for students as they move into middle school,” said Executive Director Susie Stoffer. “Adding sixth grade allows us to continue fostering joyful learning, strong connections, and meaningful experiences during a pivotal year of development.”

Enrollment information for the new sixth grade will be shared with current fifth-grade families. Additional details about the program and future grade expansions will be shared as planning continues…
