Kylie Kelce Champions Self-Love for Daughters’ Confidence

Kylie Kelce, 33, wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, is making headlines for her intentional approach to parenting: modeling self-love for her four daughters. Kelce believes that by consistently speaking positively about herself, she can instill a strong sense of self-confidence in her children, making them more resilient to future negativity.

“Motherhood has forced me into the idea that I do need to make sure that I’m speaking positively about myself,” Kelce revealed in a recent interview. She emphasized the importance of leading by example, even on days when she might not personally feel her best.

“You can say it as much as you want, but we’re still human, so there are days when I find myself leading by example for our girls, recognizing, like, ‘You know what? I might not feel that way right now, but it is how I should be talking about myself,'” she shared.

Kylie and Jason Kelce, who married in 2018, are parents to Wyatt Elizabeth, Elliotte Ray, Bennett Llewellyn, and their newest addition, Finnley Anne, born in March. Kelce noted that having daughters has heightened her awareness of her own internal dialogue.

She firmly believes that building confidence early in life is crucial for her daughters’ happiness and ability to navigate challenges. “You can build these girls up with confidence so that when some silly person somewhere along their way decides to try and switch up the messaging, they’ve had so much joy just compounded into their ears that it drowns it out and it’s a non-issue,” Kelce explained.

She added that this strong foundation allows her daughters to easily dismiss negative comments that contradict what they’ve been taught about themselves. “Through motherhood, you see how getting that positive messaging across then makes those intrusive and negative thoughts not mean as much,” she concluded.

Kelce joins a growing list of public figures who advocate for demonstrating confidence to children. Makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury previously attributed her lack of imposter syndrome to her mother’s consistent praise, while actress Zooey Deschanel has spoken about her commitment to presenting a confident demeanor to her children, understanding that their self-esteem is often shaped by their parents.
