NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Fire Department responded to a three-alarm fire in the Seabrook neighborhood on Saturday, Jan. 31.
According to the NOFD, crews were sent to 6319 Kuebel Drive, where they found a fire in the right rear of the building. As crews set up for the attack on the fire, the chiefs in command realized that the fire was progressing at a very rapid rate and quickly struck a second alarm.

As crews began to fight the flames and evacuate people from the building, a third alarm was sounded for additional staff due to high wind velocity off Lake Pontchartrain, which contributed to the fire’s intensity and rapid spread.
At least 20 people were evacuated and displaced from damage caused by the fire. The fire was placed under control around 2:40 a.m. and remains under investigation…
