Milwaukee, Wisconsin – A prolonged stretch of bitter cold and gusty winds is expected to settle over Wisconsin beginning Saturday, Feb. 8, creating an extended period of hazardous winter conditions that could impact travel, utilities, and outdoor safety through the middle of next week.

According to the National Weather Service, a series of Arctic air surges will move across the Upper Midwest from Feb. 8 through Friday, Feb. 14, keeping temperatures well below seasonal averages.
