SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4)— Just ten days before her scheduled trial is scheduled to begin, attorneys for Kouri Richins, the Kamas woman accused of fatally poisoning her husband and later authoring a children’s book about navigating grief, have filed a motion to reconsider a change of venue for the trial. This motion requests that the trial be moved from Summit County to Salt Lake County.
According to court documents, Richins’ attorneys are making this request based on both the arguments made in the defendant’s prior motion and the responses to the recently received jury questionnaires.
“Now that the Court has the responses to the jury questionnaire, it is obvious that Ms. Richins does not have a reasonable likelihood of a fair trial in Summit County,” the motion reads…
