Albany man charged with arson after Troy fire incident

TROY, N.Y. (WNYT)- A 49-year-old Albany man has been arrested in connection to a fire in Troy, according to the Troy Police Department.

Police say they arrested Derrick D. Moore on charges of second-degree arson and first-degree reckless endangerment. The fire occurred Saturday morning, January 31 near 1st Street, causing minor damage but no injuries.

The fire was deemed suspicious, and detectives, with help from the Troy Fire Department, determined it was intentionally set. Moore was identified as a suspect with assistance from the NYS DCJS Capital Region Crime Analysis Center and Albany Police Department…
