The EUMA recently saw a record number of individuals needing a place to stay for the night.
The stretch of cold temperatures led to more people needing a warm bed for the night.
Kurt Crays, the Executive Director of the EUMA explained, “In EUMA’s history we have never reached the point where we have over 300 individuals in our care, we are there. Between our emergency shelter, our winter shelter and our permeant housing units scattered through Erie and Crawford counties, we are now above 300 individuals being served each night.”
