Police: Father left Lancaster County baby to die after ‘violently’ shaking her

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Lancaster County father did not call for help when his baby became unresponsive after he allegedly shook her “violently” multiple times, court documents show.

David Souden, 47, of New Holland, allegedly told police he thought he had killed the three-month-old child and decided not to call 911 but instead put her back into a bassinet and left her to die, according to charging documents filed by West Earl Township Police.
