The Groundhog Says 6 More Weeks, But Storm Team 7 Says Not So Fast

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, so he says we’ll see six more weeks of winter before spring gets here. Aside from a chance for some cold rain on Tuesday, West Tennessee’s forecast may not line up with old Phil. We’ll show you the forecast right here.

Tonight:

Tonight’s low will hang around the mid to low 30s, so ice should be able to continue melting into the overnight hours. There will be a light breeze out of the southwest again, roughly 3-5 miles per hour. We’re also expecting cloud cover to increase, which will aid in trapping warmth to melt the ice. If you will be near any tall structures soon, be aware of falling chunks of ice!

Tuesday:

Tuesday will start with cloudy skies, but eventually showers will begin to fall into the afternoon hours. The window for showers is roughly Noon to 5 P.M.. Showers will be light mostly and the areas impacted by showers are the areas under the lowest drought impacts. Temperatures…..
