Colombian to be turned over to ICE after road rage incident involving gun

A native of Colombia will be turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a violent road rage incident involving a gun.

Delwin Wadid Machado Gutierrez, 35, was positively identified by three people who had summoned law enforcement to the Lake Miona Boat Ramp in Oxford at about 2 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

They told deputies that Machado Gutierrez had been driving a white Nissan passenger van when he ran them off the road on U.S. 301. They said that when they reached the intersection of U.S. 301 and County Road 466, Machado Gutierrez began to “flail his arm” in what appeared to be an “aggressive manner.” When the light turned green and the vehicles began to travel forward, Machado Gutierrez pointed a gun at the trio’s vehicle. Part of the incident was captured on a cell phone video.
