Over a year ago, some private company started to build an indoor pickleball complex on County Road 466 by the Hampton Inn. They must have gone belly-up because no work has been done on this building for quite some time now.
It would be so great if some entity came along (The Villages Developer itself, a commercial developer, a private investor?) and purchased this so it could be completed and opened up for what I know would be a major addition to the availability of the pickleball courts in the Villages. I’m confident that ardent pickleball players would be willing to pay a reasonable fee to use these indoor courts, especially in the heat of summer!
