Woman walks to fire station for help after being shot, Beaufort Co. deputies say

Deputies are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that injured a 31-year-old woman, prompting her to walk to a nearby fire station for help, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Police received multiple reports of gunfire around 2:40 a.m. from the area of Conestoga Loop in Grays Hill, located just north of the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

After arriving to the scene, deputies learned a gunshot victim had walked to the nearby Burton Fire District station about a half-mile away. EMS crews took the woman to the hospital, according to the sheriff’s office alert sent Saturday morning…
