Step inside the ghostly remains of a 125-year-old Syracuse steel mill
For more than 100 years, Crucible Industries made high-strength specialty steel for the automotive, cutlery, aerospace and tool industries at its mill on Bridge Street in Geddes. After years of struggles, Crucible filed bankruptcy and went dark in 2025.
