Students of Worcester Technical High School all groaned in unison after Mayor Joseph Petty announced that Cornelia, the city’s resident groundhog, saw her shadow at the EcoTarium museum on Monday.
Petty, the students and the museum’s board members all gathered at the groundhog’s den Monday morning to find out whether Cornelia would predict six more weeks of winter or an early spring.
