Charleston, SC Snow Pic Through the Window

So many of you have experienced record snowfall in the past month or two – and more specifically this past weekend. There were varied amounts that fell throughout the area. We didn’t have a lot, but the road did look icy yesterday morning. I snapped this once it had been melting for a while. It was nice to wake up to fresh, beautiful snow. Especially knowing it won’t be there long…

Most of us don’t own a snow shovel since it rarely snows here. So when it does it’s big news, everything pretty much shuts down because, unlike states with regular snowfall, we just don’t have the equipment to deal with it here. All the municipalities did a great job at keeping the roads as clear as possible and more importantly, sending repeated reminders to stay off the road due to hazardous conditions. No problem there. We hunkered down happily.

I made my Clementine’s Cookies (oatmeal, chocolate chip, nuts) – you can live off them if you need to 😉 and a big pot of chili, so we were set. Thankful for no frozen pipes like many in our area had. It paid to keep getting up every few hours and running water, the dryer, then leaving the faucets on a slow drip. This might be a good day for a nap, ha…
