EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Members of a drug task force arrested a man and a woman for allegedly picking up an SUV packed with fentanyl from the parking lot of an El Paso shopping center.
The Drug Enforcement Administration set up surveillance at Fox Plaza Shopping Center on Alameda Avenue on Jan. 29 as part of an interdiction operation.

Task force members allegedly observed Gabriel Saul Almeida and Briana Guadalupe Lucero saying goodbye to each other by a white Cadillac Escalade, then Almeida walking over to a parked Dodge Durango. The two vehicles left the shopping center traveling in tandem, according to the DEA.
An El Paso County deputy constable stopped Almeida on Alameda Avenue for a window tint violation, while El Paso County sheriff’s deputies stopped Lucero, who had made a U-turn, as she got on Delta Drive…
